Dynamic Rene Villanueva of Love Foundation was the Master of Ceremony that featured the work of archaeologist, Dr. Anabel Ford who has closely collaborated with Maya forest gardeners in the Cayo District over the past three decades.
The publication of this book The Maya Forest Garden by Anabel Ford and Ronald Nigh is historic; giving voice and shifting the paradigm on the Maya landscape. It is a record breaking accomplishment for Belize and the world. Ford and Nigh tell the story differently by connecting present day concerns of climate change to the resilience of people. They honor the resilience of our master Maya forest gardeners who are the root of wealth of knowledge and resources for the world. The book intertwines a story that transcends cultures and geographical boundaries.
